Verse of the Day: Exhausted 24:7

The Fall of Men

Sometimes I wonder how it was, that cursed shift. The fall of men. When it arouse in their minds that they too wanted to be givers of life, bringers of comfort, and protectors. When the seed of jealousy turned into hatred. When they realized they could use their strenght to overturn the natural order and take over the world.

Slowly but surely, they shaped this new world. It was hostile to her. Everything she stands for was renamed as dirty, shameful and disturbing, and had to be punished. They used their new god to make her ashamed of her gifts, then to make her yield. They made her kneel. In time, they made her forget.

And so, deprived of light, shackled, beaten into silence, and often burned, the goddess withered.
